Earlier in 2009, when the much anticipated Raiding Clans expansion was launched, CO’s bold adventurers saddled up their first horse and started their new journey on a trusty steed. Ever since then, these celestial creatures have become their masters’ best companions throughout the entire experience. They provided more than just extra movement speed, as a rare horse is a symbol of position as well as a great enhancement to the character’s attributes and Battle Power!
Later on, following the great success of the Steed System, the Wrangler Subclass arrived in game, bringing some new members to the mount family - the Tiger & Deer. After acquiring this mysterious class skill, taming a wild animal is not just a dream, anymore! Wherever you go, you can see people running around on their fierce tiger or agile deer! It’s so cool!
But none of the above actually changed the shape of the game, not the tiger, not the deer, not any other kind of mount. Our players want something more powerful, something revolutionary! We know it, and that’s why we are launching this brand new combat mode - Mounted Combat! CO’s PvP fans have been talking about it for years, and finally they are going to be able to get their hands on it! Players don’t have to jump off their horse every time they encounter enemies, and their mounts can join them in the battle, helping when they can. This marquee update will lead the game into a new chapter and bring a shakeup to the overall PvP experience of Conquer!

Conquer Online Guild In-Depth Analysis

Guilds have been functional in the game since the earliest stages of the game, and they’ve already become a pretty big part of the gameplay throughout the course of a character’s development.
Now, with many years in the books and the gameplay become understood by the player, they won’t be strangers to them at all, but there still might be some who would like more of an in-depth look into the guilds and their functions.
Intro
As player without a guild, it’s going to be tough to live in a world full of competition, and joining a guild can help solve a lot of problems.
Being a part of a guild can bring you lots of benefits. The BP sharing system will help you gain extra Battle Power. But in order to get much more power than before, you’ll have to do your best to help level up the Arsenals of the guild you join, but we’ll talk about later on.
Setting Up Your Guild/ Joining a Guild
So you want to create your own guild, eh? Well, first you need to register your guild before you’ll get the chance to know more about the guild, itself. Head down to Twin City (399,394) and talk to the Guild Director, then pay him the registration fee of 1,000,000 Silver to get your guild running!
When that’s done, let’s go straight into the concept of guild functions and how they work.
Guild Positions & Levels
Guilds are a group that cannot function properly without a leader and its members. This brings us to the second part of a guild, the Guild Level and Positions.
Guilds of different levels have different numbers of positions available, such as the Guild Leader, Deputy Leader, Agents, and so on. Have a look at the picture below, to see what positions are available.
Okay, now you can get the hang of the composition of a guild, but then what can those players at different positions do for the members?
Only Guild Leaders, Deputy Leaders, Managers, Honorary Managers, Donation Supervisors and Honorary Supervisors have the rights to recruit members to the guild. Each position receives a share of the benefits for being appointed to positions in the guild, such as Battle Power, which you can gain a certain percentage of by being a member.
Guild Donation System
Now that members are entitled to the sharing of Battle Power from the Guild, should they also have responsibilities to support the guild? Sure they should! So that’s why there is a Donation system available, to allow the leader to effectively manage his guild.
There are 5 donation types: Silver, CPs, PK, Guidance, and the Arsenal.
As you can see, the above window shows two of the donation types. In order to contribute to the guild with PKs, Guidance and Arsenal donations, you will have to: 1. Kill the members from other guilds of a higher level than yours; 2. Help your guildmates level up; 3. Inscribe your equipment to your guild’s Martial Arsenals.

Conquer Online: Wrangler Emerges! New Sub-Class & New Steeds Heading Your Way!

Conquer Online has just announced that another major update will be released on May 19th. Following the epic Legends Return expansion, some thrilling new features will be arriving in game, which will bring a whole new sub-class into sight, the Wrangler!
Known as an experienced trainer and handler of animals, a Wrangler can equip their mounts with different Steed Garments, giving them a brand new look (Deer & Tiger)! This won’t just make riding more fun, but it will also be quite pleasing to the eyes! Besides, this new sub-class could add various attributes to the character, which will be of great help during a battle!
After players take a full command of the skills of a Wrangler, these unique outfits are ready for grabs! There will be many steed garments available, each category having ten different styles of garments. The higher phase you reach as a Wrangler, the shaper your steeds will look!

Conquer for Mac: Gameplay Impressions

On April 8th, 2011, we were glad to debut the Mac version of Conquer Online for a open beta test, during which I learned a lot about the game. For all the MMO fans out there, this game has been around for almost 8 years, and it’s still got a lot left in the tank. I’ve seen how many players continue to enjoy the unique style of combat. However, this is the first time ever for Conquer to enter the Mac OS X world, and there are still some bug issues that need to be tackled.
For starters, Conquer Online has endured 8 years of ups and downs, and won hundreds of millions of players’ heart worldwide since its launch in 2003. With its unique PvP system and lively Chinese cultural elements, players have been drawn to the exciting world of Conquer.

The game starts smoothly with character selection and creation. Conquer provides Monks, Trojans, Ninjas, Warriors, Archers and Taoists for character selection, with that being said, the class system has its unique connection in between. I created a Trojan in the MacTest server, in order to help players find the glitches in the beta version. Its nice that they provide every player with a full set of Super gear to run around in. Also, all skills can be learned after answering the questions posed by the Beta Guide.
With all said and done, I ran into the very first bug that only the Mac version has. The Pedlar, a vendor that sells Skill Books, malfunctioned and I couldn’t buy anything from it. By contrast, this NPC functions just fine in the Windows version.
Once I entered the world, the game played extremely smoothly, with no lag at all. The graphics were performing at an extremely high level. Despite the characteristics of a 2.5D MMORPG, it showed us some prospects for how well graphics for 2.5D can be used. I played a little bit of Conquer on Windows, so I can feel the difference right away. It feels more a bit more lively and vivid on the updated Mac client. When you zoom in, you can see that the details are so delicate, it almost looks alive!
Now let’s talk about the controls, combat, and unique PvP system.
First off, different from the controls on the Windows OS, this may take a little getting used to. All the function keys are replaced with numbers, which is the major change to the client for Mac. The right click on the mouse has also be replaced by the combo control + left click, which will be more responsive than just the right click, itself. You can also set the option to use the original style, if you choose. Other than these two major changes to the Mac client, there are no other big changes you can see, when compared to the Conquer for Windows.
“United We Stand”
Second off, the combat was really quite responsive. Unlike other 2.5D/2D MMORPGs, or even other 3D masterpieces, the combat system in Conquer plays a bit different. A player stays more connected to his/her guild and clan, random PK combat losses will result in fund losses for the guild, which is quite a unique and distinguishing feature.
Last but not least, I’d like to talk a bit about the unique PvP system in the world of Conquer.
It’s comprised of many types of tournaments, such as the Arena Qualifier, Team Qualifier, Team PK, Skill Team PK, Elite PK and the newly introduced Capture the Flag.
I got to take part in a CTF contest a few days ago, and it was tons of fun! The teamwork, running out and searching for guildies, trying to push back the attackers so the flag carriers can bring the flags back safely… It was just an awesome match. Definitely one of the better tournaments I’ve played on.
In the end though, Conquer does play smoothly on my Mac Mini, and I have an outstanding world to explore. Overall, it was a good experience. I hope the upped graphics and the ancient Chinese cultural can meet the appeal of the players out there.

Conquer Online – The First F2P Mac MMO Officially Launched on May 3rd!

Since TQ Digital launched the Mac Beta Test for their free-to-play MMO Conquer Online on Apr. 8th, thousands of Mac users have headed over to join the world of Conquer and experience the unique gaming adventure! Earlier today, the TQ team announced that a new Mac server named Garden of Eden will be established on May 3rd for celebrating the upcoming official launch of the Mac Conquer! The game will be the first F2P 2.5D Chinese MMO that hits the Mac!
Currently, the Mac Conquer is still in beta phase and the test will be running from Apr. 8th – Apr. 26th. Players who join this Beta Test will be provided with a full set of Super equipments, skills and some necessary in-game items so that they can go straight to testing out the gameplay. There’s only one more week before it concludes! If you haven’t joined it, you shouldn’t be wasting time!

Things are going smoothly, the TQ team has been collecting suggestions and reports since the beta started and the major glitches that were previously noted had been taken care of. The graphics fit in perfectly with the new OS system. The in-game creatures feel extremely lively and vivid on the MacBook screen. Some functions, mostly the operations, have been modified to adapt to the new system. This means it may take a little patience to get used to the new controls for the Mac players who are also playing CO on Windows. It shouldn’t be a problem, though.

Conquer Online Mac Beta Client Available Now! Beta Test Starts Today!

It’s been a long wait and finally, we will put our hands on it! The TQ team is proud to announce that the Beta version of Conquer Online’s Mac-compatible client is ready for all the Apple-loving players to download and try out! (Note: This beta client is only designed for Mac computers.)
After installing the Mac Beta client, all players entering this trial will be able to access the new Mac Beta Server with their current Conquer account ID and password. Or, you can register a new account on the official website. The TQ team will provide every testing players with a full set of super equipment, all skills, and some in-game items, so that they can go straight to testing o ut the various features!
NPC: Beta Guide (Twin City 443,363)
The Beta Test will last from Apr. 8th - 26th. When the test comes to a close, the TQ team will be rewarding the players that joined and assisted with the testing of the client. Each of them will be receiving a big gift pack once they create a new character on the official Mac Server which is set to be launched after the beta test, during CO’s 8th Anniversary session. There will be lots of wonderful events and great rewards waiting for you! This is something you really shouldn’t miss out on!

Since the release in 2003, CO has proven itself to be one of the most successful MMOs of its genre, spawning several expansion packs and subsequent titles, and introducing millions of players to the ancient Chinese martial arts world.
Time passes by, but the memories remain! For most MMO gamers, a long stretch of time doesn’t just mean more quests, storylines, or other new content added to the game. What matters most are the special memories and experiences that they harvest from the world they inhabit! MMOs truly are virtual worlds, and they are always changing over time and becoming richer places for players to be. Conquer Online is no exception.
Keeping the gameplay fresh and exciting, while not losing its original style, is one of the greatest challenges for a developer. After 8 years of adventure, danger, and story-telling, CO shows no signs of stopping! With 7 language versions, 6 expansion packs, 3 new classes, hundreds of new features and a lot more additions on the way, Conquer Online has done an exceptional job in this aspect!
But nothing would have been achieved without the support of the vast player community. Ninja, Monk, steed system, Classic CO server and many more other features – most of these brilliant ideas are considered as the game’s most important additions in recent years and they were what our players’ been asking for years.

Conquer Online Epic Monk PvP Carnival – Rules & Rewards Revealed!

The TQ Digital has just announced the official rules of the upcoming epic Monk Class Inter-Server PvP Championship!
Different than any other PK event in Conquer, the Monk Class PvP Championship provides a completely level playing field, enabling interaction between all players from all servers; creating the first true test of who is the best of the best! All the rewards are coming directly from the entrance fees collected. That is to say, the more participants there are, the bigger the grand prize will be! Players might be able to win a great amount of CPs, worth thousands of dollars!!
Requirement: Characters above Level 100 (No level requirement for reborn characters)
Entrance Fee: 98 CPs
Location: Independent Monk Class PvP Championship Server (MPS)
Walkthrough:
- Signing Up: All the characters above Level 100 can pay a visit to the Monk Contest Envoy to sign up for the contest. The system will deduct 98 CPs from your account, as the entrance fee.
- Preparation: After signing up for the contest, each contestant will have a Monk character provided by the official team. These monks will be the same class, the same level, and be outfitted with a matching set of equipment, and have the same amount of recovery items.
- Competition: All participants shall enter the MPS server 30 minutes ahead of the competition. This competition is a knock-out tournament. The Top 8 competitors left standing in the knock-out phase will progress to the final round. (Note: If there are more than 1,200 participants in one round, we will divide competitors into 2 groups, and the top 8 of each group will progress to the final round. With every 1,200 more participants, there will be one additional group opened.)
- Rules: The competition procedure will be in accordance with the Elite PK Tournament rules.
Special Notes During the Competition:
- Botting or cheating of any kind is strictly forbidden. Any character who is found using bots/cheats will be disqualified immediately, and the account will be banned.
- All the functions that will influence the Battle Power will be unavailable.
Rewards: Up to 80% of the total entrance fees collected will be distributed to winners as their prize! (Note: Every contestant can only claim the prize once.) Details are below:
