Action Oriented RPG ‘Dungeon Striker’ Announced
Apr 25, 2012 Articles Recommend, Uncategorized|147views
Seoul, Korea – April 6th, 2012 – Eyedentity Games, the developer best known for Dragon Nest, which launched its North American service last year, announced today their new project, Dungeon Striker. The action RPG will publish through NHN Korea in South Korea, where its first CBT begins on Apr 27.
At the core of Dungeon Striker is solid and fast action. The developer says their goal in creating Dungeon Striker is to keep it simple while satisfying players’ appetite for something more powerful and fun. They chose SD, or super deformed characters, to optimize for faster-paced battles where the small characters can tear through the dungeons attacking monsters as fast as 10 times a second.
Dungeon Striker packs astounding skill system where skills not only build synergy with each other, but also various class skills can be combined almost infinitely. A Mage could heal and fight close-range battles, while a Warrior could set traps or stealth.
The game also offers controls simple enough that battles could be fought single-handed. Moving and loading time is much reduced by Way Point and Portal functions that send characters to a wanted place easily. With random map generation dungeons change every time characters enter, making leveling up and item farming are not as repetitive.
The publisher NHN Korea said at the press conference that “We’re excited to publish a game by such prominent developer as Eyedentity Games,” adding that “formalities aside, as gamers ourselves we really want to play this game and we very proud to publish Dungeon Striker. We will put everything we’ve got to present users with impeccable contents and experience through our solid partnership with Eyedentity Games.”
“The best veterans among Korean developers, with broad experience in developing and servicing, came together and devoted themselves to this project,” said Joong Sun Chang, the global business director of Eyedentity Games, “Our developing expertise, especially for action, combined with NHN’s publishing experience will present to players the most satisfying gaming experience. Please watch and support us.”
The first CBT for Dungeon Striker runs from Apr 27 to 29. Registration to participate in the CBT is open from Apr 5 to 22. CBT testers will be announced on the 24th at the official website. (http://ds.hangame.com).

Barbily Games Launches Daily Event on Facebook and Twitter
Feb 22, 2012 Uncategorized|180views
Suzhou, China – February 21, 2012– It’s oftentimes hard to figure out what makes an MMORTS game appealing to gamers. What will keep players coming? What goes behind the scenes? Starting this week, Barbily Games will be doing something new. Besides the new expansion that is planned for launch next week for Star Supremacy, Barbily Games is planning to do a daily event starting this week and ongoing that will bring users closer to not only the game, but also to the staff. Those who have facebook and twitter accounts and are following and liking Star Supremacy will be treated to something special. Every day, Barbily Games will be posting up a status message on its Star Supremacy facebook and twitter accounts. The status message could be about anything. Topics range from life in general, the game, the company, and current events. Basically, anything that users can relate to. Users have the entire day to post a reply to the status message. At the end of the day, Barbily Games will post up their own reply to the status message as well as post up replies to any questions users have posted. Every now and then, the staff will check in during the day and post a reply if users start asking lots of questions.
So if we were to ask “What would you rather do: Eat a cherry pie with a bottle of Dr. Pepper while warring an alliance in game or eat a lemon meringue pie with a bottle of Sprite while raiding a GM colony?” Tough one huh? Personally, I love both pies as well as both drinks.
What is the objective of this daily event? Thomas Watson, PR Manager for Barbily, explains that “It’s our way of improving our communication and relationship with the players. Star Supremacy is a leading RTS game. We want to give users something to do while they play the game. What better way than to go on facebook and twitter and see what our users are up to. It’s a fun experience and guess what, it’s a daily event!” Players can respond to the status comments that Barbily posts up as well as ask their own questions about any topic they want. Lets get the questions and answers going!

How time flies! The year 2010 has come to an end. Which online games impressed you deeply in 2010? In fact, similar to the real world, the online game world is also filled with fierce competitions, where some win and some lose, some debut grandly and some return with new looks… Of course, some old titles even came back with greatly enhanced power, leading to a fairly bustling game industry. Vote Top10 Best MMOs in 2010 here
League of Legends
Highlights
League of Legends from the creators of DotA-Allstars brings the classic gameplay to a real online world, and presents itself as a real RTS peak work. As the best custom map acknowledged by Blizzard, DotA can be said as a model of World Editor no matter in terms of the mode design, skill design or map optimization, and as one of the world’s important matches, it is undoubtedly a success. Being a DotA-style MMO, League of Legends is successful too! As is the case with DotA, fast-paced League of Legends features a variety of strategy & hero choices, and values group play. It allows players to conduct the combats where each participating team consists of 6 members at most, and condenses traditional MMOs’ gameplay content like leveling up, grinding gold, teamwork and PK into an authentic DotA-style game that lasts half an hour to two hours.
League of Legends - Gameplay

Divine Souls
Highlights
Korean online game developer GamePrix said that Microsoft would bring Kinect to PCs, and confirmed that its online game Divine Souls which’s at the OBT stage in North America now would be made to support Kinect. In this case, Divine Souls will probably be the first PC game with Kinect support.
Divine Souls - Trailer
When talking about Divine Souls’ combat mode, Jason Lim from GamePrix said: “We added PvP combat mode among the contents in online games. In fact, we do believe that this certainly has an advantage as an online game since many players can fight in a tournament and global tournament will be also available.”

Game Feature
What we can expect from Divine Souls is fast paced console style action, the game claims to be bringing the free to play genre to the next generation. Divine Souls has started its open beta in NA on December 14th.

Lost Saga
Highlight
Lost Saga is an action-packed fighting game that brings heroes from fantasy, science-fiction and history to life in an all-out-brawl for the ages. Players start by choosing from a wide variety of heroes, including everything from boxing champs to iron knights, pirates to ninjas, and even cowboys to dark shamans. Each hero comes with unique skills and abilities, and as players hone their battle skills and gain experience, their characters’ powers will grow.
Lost Saga - Trailer
What’s worth mentioning here is that Lost Saga made its appearance at WCG 2010 as a promotional game title for the event. Though not among WCG’s official games, Lost Saga still excited its fans and made them feel great glory.
Game Feature
Custom Mode
Set your own rules within a match! Different options will allow you to customize your match setting including: Hero swap, skill use, attacks on teammates, drop damage, gravity effects, KO conditions, KO effects, gearless, heath point, movement speed, and hit effects. You can only play Prisoners and Team Match in Custom Mode.

Reputation
If someone reports you for harassment and it turns out to be true, your Rep will decrease. However, if they falsely reported you then their Rep will go down. To recover your Rep just log in the game everyday! If you’ve been really naughty it might take a while for you to notice a change. What happens when your Rep goes down? If the indicator is Orange, you get less rewards. If the indicator is Red, then you can’t chat! Don’t forget, your Rep also goes down if you say bad words and don’t play nice! Remember to be respectful and keep it clean. Bad Rep brings significant disadvantages.

Effort
Effort reveals how much you contributed to winning a game. Effort doesn’t go up just by killing opponents. Rescuing allies, destroying the other team’s stone, protecting the crown also factor in. A variety of factors during the battle will affect your effort.

Earthrise: Exploring the Lowlands
Sep 25, 2009 Uncategorized|316views
On the eastern side of Enterra, just off the northern coast of the island, lie the barren, desolate steppes of the Lowlands. These somber prairies are constantly subjected to the violent sweeps of harsh, dry winds and the cracked soil is mercilessly baked into a rugged patchwork of dirt that expulses noxious clouds of choking fine dust, which without the proper filtering can prove deadly. Shallow canyons and low prominences offer a small measure of shadow for the wary traveler, otherwise there is no refuge to be found from the scorching heat of the day as very little vegetation exists in the Lowlands. Hosting only a handful of brambles and twisted yucca trees and supporting only highly adapted hostile mutant life forms, the Lowlands are the part of Enterra that most resembles the original state of the island’s nature before the terraforming efforts were undertaken by reemerging humanity.
The Lowlands form a natural crossroad between the spheres of influence of several important factions and by virtue of this fact alone, they serve as a theatre for a multitude of armed conflicts; some open and some not as readily apparent for those ignorant of the subtle behind-the-scenes world of politics and intrigue. To the northwest, the steppe reaches the Autonomy - a breeding ground for treachery and ambition, whose denizens would readily spill into the Lowlands under the vicious will of their leader Shepherd, if not kept in check by force of arms. To the northeast is the Arboretum - the lush tangle of bio-engineered forests and gardens that the people of Natura call home. To the south a clutter of small mesas and foothills slowly transitions into the imposing ranges of the Cascade Mountains whose stout profile projects the security and protection guaranteed by Noir’s very Core. To the southwest a narrow pass meanders through the rocky ridges and connects the Lowlands with the Eastern Garden where the seat of power of Her Eminence Governor Mao is located. And to the West, against a substantial and unapproachable mass of granite, the overgrown ruins of Arcology II are huddled with the Kodiak’s Den nested amongst them.
By far the most pre-dominant, albeit far from undisputed, power in the Lowlands are the Kodiaks. Their main base is not in the prairie itself, but hidden beneath the treetops of the great forest that sprawls over the picked remains of the Arcology. Nonetheless, they maintain substantial recon and assault forces on patrol throughout the Lowlands at all times. Having once been wrestled out of the Nest, they are ready to defend their new home at all costs and are constantly aware of the territorial aspirations of the many raider bands - such as the infamous Rukh - that infest the steppes, as well as of the sporadic incursions of adventurous Syndicate smugglers. The Kodiaks maintain a permanent boot camp in the Lowlands, where their newest recruits are being pit against the hostile creatures of the wild in order to hone their skills for the time of real battle.

Amongst the landmarks found in the Lowlands, several deserve a specific mention. Perhaps the most prominent structure erected in the steppe is a great Noir compound, complete with several resource drills used to excavate precious resources needed for the war effort around the clock. Further north one can find the abandoned terraforming facility which has settled in its final repose buried beneath tons of dust and rust - at least, until someone finds a way to bring it back to life. A recently established encampment of the Alpha dominates the northern-most edge of the area. Perched on a small plateau above the ocean surf, it is staking the Sisters’ claim to a permanent presence in what has always been, up to this moment, exclusive Noir territory. Last but not least, an abandoned pre-war bunker is hidden amongst the rocky crags occupying the eastern shore of the Lowlands, ready to reveal its long-forgotten secrets to any of the several factions vying to gain entry into its depths.
Already a highly inhospitable and hostile area, patches of mutated plant-life have begun springing up around the steppes of the Lowlands bearing the specific visual signature of the bio-phenomenon known as “The Hatchery”. Mutant creatures, altered even further from their initial deformities, were soon to follow; but whatever the future of the Lowlands holds for its human explorers and inhabitants, one thing is for sure - it’s neither going to be safe, nor pretty.

Fallen Earth Starter Towns and Crafting
Apr 8, 2009 Articles Recommend, Uncategorized|1,786views
After finishing the tutorial, players are taken into a room that the developers have lovingly termed the “choose your own adventure” room. From here, players will choose one of nine different starter towns.
In most MMOs, choosing a starter town is primarily an aesthetic decision, with each town being fairly similar to or identical to each other in terms of what you will find in the town. In Fallen Earth though, each of the starting cities has a different focus. Focuses include: combat, crafting and support.
The focus of a town determines what kinds of missions players are most likely to find there. If you want, for example, to have a crafting character, you’d go to a crafting town. If you wanted to make a healing character, you’d go to a support town, etc.
The tour then took us to a town called Mumford. The town is basically built from the ruins of whatever was there before, you can even see the remnants of an old monorail system. Mumford itself contains a point of interest in the form of a crashed satellite that provides the focuses for the town in terms of storylines and missions. As you might imagine, Mumford, with a downed satellite for salvaging, has a crafting focus.
With that in mind, let’s look a little bit deeper into the crafting system:
Fallen Earth is designed with crafting in mind, and according to Lead Designer Lee Hammock 95% of the items in the game are craftable and players make the best stuff.
The crafting system has real time component as well, meaning that item creation isn’t instant like it is in many other MMOs. Instead, depending on the complexity and difficulty of the item that you are creating, it could take anywhere from a few minutes to a month to actually complete the item. That being said, the people over at Icarus Studios aren’t trying to tie crafting characters own to a workbench for a month creating a new car. Once the crafting action has been initiated, players are free to go about their business as usual while the item is created, including logging off (crafting times will continue to progress after logout).
There are buildings in the game that can lessen the amount of time that it takes to create any given item, so if your character is in the right place where they are presumably provided with the right tools, the work goes more quickly.
Experience is earned through crafting and gathering rare resources. A character that chooses not to take the standard combat route for advancement could actually level the entire way through the game without engaging in combat.
Crafters also have the option to spend time researching rather than creating. Researching allows players to unlock higher tiers of crafting. These higher tiers translate into improvements to the items that your character can build. For example, you start out knowing how to build an ATV as a vehicle. As you advance that crafting skill through research, you gain access to building a motorcycle, or a muscle car or a dune buggy. It’s progressive.
Lee also mentioned that a lot of general ammo is actually craftable, and it’s much cheaper to make your own bullets than to buy them. Similarly, fuel is craftable (if your car runs on biodiesel, you can make that… If your horse runs on feed, you can craft that too).

STATS AND BUILDSWhat is kiting??
STATS meant for an ARCHER/HUNTER
Strength (STR): add on 1.22 damage per point
Dexterity (DEX): slightly increases EVASION and SP is increased by 5
LUCK: every 5 points increases critical hit percentage by 1%
And slightly increase critical evasion
OPTIONAL STATS for ARCHER/HUNTER
Wisdom (WIS): increases Maximum MP by 5 and also increases magic resistance slightly
Reaction Defence Boost (REC): increases defence and adds 5 more SP to maximum SP
USELESS STATS to an ARCHER/HUNTER
Intelligence (INT): increases magic attack’s power
BUILDS:
For Normal Mode:
Each build can be adjusted to suite your purposes
Each Build is JUST a suggestion *though criticism is always excepted
PvE builds:
4 STR 1 DEX
Good for grind……extra attack boost helps kills mobs faster
Obsolete at later lvls
NOTE: though you may find that you miss a lot so ADD more DEX
3 STR 2 DEX
Great for grinding
Very good build balancing STR and DEX
Obsolete at the later lvls
5 LUCK
Horrible build for grinding at early lvls
Insane damage at later lvls
NOTE: no DEX is needed to do a Critical Hit
Critical hits are Base Damage Multipliers that NEVER MISS
PvP Builds:
4 STR 1 DEX
Great damage for killing
You Miss a lot of Rangers/Assassins and sometimes Fighters/Warriors
Only good for 1-15 PvP and 20-30 PvP
3 STR 2 DEX
Great build that balances damage and hitting/evasion
Will not “miss†as much though the occasional miss happens to Ranger/Assassins
Only good for 1-15 PvP and 20-30 PvP
5 LUCK
In the long run this is the BEST BUILD for PvP
You will not “miss†as much like the other builds (assuming you have 350 LUCK 70% chance to land a critical hit)
INSANE damage usually double you base damage (sometimes triple, x 4, x 5, etc.)
Only good for the later lvls
And 1-60 PvP
TIPS for Grinding and Training (normal mode)
Always grind on green or yellow until you’re confident enough to take on orange and red
Get a guild, they’ll help you lvl up and you can meet new people
Party with a RANGER/ASSASSIN their LUCK-buff is really helpful
Go for a 3 STR 2 DEX build for a while
Plus get a lot of kills in the early PvP maps to boost your reputation and experience is great for you
until 40-50ish then you can buy a stat reset stone and add all your points into LUCK
at 50 you should get 300 base LUCK
60% chance to Critical Hit
heavily Lapis your equipment with lvl 3-5 Fortune Lapis and you should get 350-400 LUCK
also find a lvl 53 assassin/ranger for their +90 LUCK buff
after getting 400ish LUCK then begin adding STR Lapis to counter the low base damage
If you can’t afford a stat reset stone and IF you want a LUCK build
Go 5 LUCK from the beginning though the grind may seen impossible it will be worth it
HARD MODE ARCHER BUILD
PvE
5 STR 2 DEX for the starting lvls
This should be easy lvling
Never tried this build myself but I believe this build has great potential
7 LUCK
SUPER-HARD to grind with especially at the beginning lvls
HIGHLY Recommended build for later on lvls and BOSS FIGHTS
Insane damage as soon as you past 300 LUCK….
TIPS for lvling a HARD MODE ARCHER/HUNTER
7 LUCK is really hard from the start plus the x 3 experience points needed
Make it WAAAYYYY harder
To make grinding easier then get a GUILD and also make friends on the way to #1
Re-stat when ever you think you could do best with a LUCK build
PvP BUILDS (for HARD MODE)
5 STR 2 DEX for 1-15 PvP
*But if you like to heavily Nostrum then go all STR
Great build for 1-15 PvP and 20-30 PvP
OKish damage as well as evasion
7 LUCK
At 20-30 PvP this build really shines
Heavily Lapis with Fortune Lapis for the Best results
Insane Damage and you’ll almost never miss (at lvl 30 *without lapis you get a 48% chance to land a critical hit)
ULTIMATE MODE ARCHER BUILD
I haven’t tried one yet…..
But I say…..
7 STR 2 DEX for the beginning lvls
Then re-stat to LUCK at lvl 47 then begin adding STR
or you can go for a 8 LUCK 1 DEX build
then re-stat at lvl 45 and heavily lapis your gear with Fortune Lapis
then begin adding STR to improve your base damage

Skills to get for an ARCHER/HUNTER
Normal Mode:
Luck build
Slump Shot
Wide Shot or Ballista Shot
Bull’s Eye
Body Training
Sharp Shooter
Long Range
Shot Pointer
Rapid Shot
Marksman Song
Potential Viable
WHY are there so little skills for Luck builds????
Other skills cannot be used with a critical hit
skills that are DoT and % based damage can’t be used for a critical hit
(unless the skill says % of success its useless to a LUCK build)
therefore those skills become obsolete in the higher lvls
STR/DEX build
Piercing Shot
Sustain Shot
Slump Shot
Jumping Airshot
Bull’s Eye
Body Training
Sharp Shooter
Long Range
Shot Pointer
Rapid Shot
Marksman Song
Potential Viable
some of these skills require a lot of DEX to hit
Bow Power Up
Bow Mastery
for use with a Bow
Projectile Power up
Projectile Mastery
for use with a Crossbow
NOTE: no weapon is better then another
unless they have stats in them……
it all comes down to what YOU think and what YOU choose
ill just tell you the differences between the 2
and then YOU have to decide
BOWS
-faster in terms of DPS
-most common for LUCK builds because of speed
and a higher chance to Critical Hit
-good stats…..uncommon to see all stats in on spot….
CROSSBOWS and JAVELIN
-more DAMAGE to counter slow speed
-GREAT for 1-hit kills and high base damage
-stats are just like a bows except more common to be in STR DEX and LUCK separately
Hard Mode

ARCHER/HUNTER LEVELLING GUIDE
At the very early lvls an ARCHER/HUNTER should learn how and efficiently kite an enemy……
Â
The ability to RUN in a monster’s range and have it follow you while you attack it
NOTE: don’t pull too much monsters…..and DON’T let that monster get close
Party with a RANGER/ASSASSIN for their LUCK buff
Get a guild they’ll help you lvl up
Meet new people, befriend PRIEST/ORCLES
Lapising Guide
Depending on your build….. you may want to Lapis differently
STR/DEX
Lapis some Shrewd Lapis to your equipment
Also Lapis some additional Craft Lapis to increase your Attack
Some Assault, Deceive and Forbid Lapis to Boost up your ATTACK and DEFENCE
NOTE: you may want some Vigor, Mental and Life Lapis to increase your SP, MP and HP
LUCK
If you have under 300 LUCK
Then Lapis more Fortune Lapis until you got 350-400 LUCK
Then Begin to add more Craft, Assault/Deceive and Forbid Lapis to assist more in PvP and PvE
PvP Guide and Strategy
Solo
Archer/hunter vs. Warrior/Fighter
Get loads of range and remember how to Kite; dance circles around them
They’ll probably use auto-attack and will run/defend themselves when their HP is low
Finish them quickly or else …..RUN before they get close to you…..Use skills like “Slow†and Piercing Shot to gain some range…..use de-buffs to you advantage….
Archer/Hunter vs. Mage/Pagan
Drain their MP quickly or just use Rapid/Triple Shot it will be over quickly
Most people will probably try to run close to you so run away…..then attack before they cast their spells….ALWAYS interrupt their spells….De-buff them ASAP…..
Archer/Hunter vs. Priest/Oracle
This could take a while because most of them add REC to themselves
So go all out….Slow wouldn’t work because they have dispel same goes for
Piercing Shot, DoTs and % based attacks they won’t give much damage but will use their AoEs to slow you down……they’ll also run up close to drain your SP so run away and attack…..
Archer/Hunter vs. Ranger/Assassin
Lol……
It should be easy for a LUCK build to massacre them but they will use “stealthâ€
So use DoT such as sustian shot to prevent them from “stealthing”
and then de-buff them, Big Coup, and spam your attacks afterwards…..
Plus run for it when they use “sprinter†run for a good 2 minutes they can’t attack you when they’re running….and also don’t make it obvious on where you are running in case they could ambush you there…..
or use “slow” at your first hit
Archer/Hunter vs. Archer/Hunter
It all comes down to skills and armour……attack swiftly to bring down their HP
Also stun them and then finish them off if things don’t go your way……
In a Party
first of all it takes time to learn……
I can only give you tips…….
and Garathorn can give you strategies…..
TIPS (feel free to criticize)
a player should ALWAYS OBSERVE the situation,
Plan ahead, and ADAPT to the ever changing PvP realm……
will be posted as IMPORTANT points
another KEY to your success
~~~~ TIP 1 ~~~~
OBSERVE
why should you do it???
-can save your team from ambush and extermination…..
-lets you PLAN ahead of strategies on how to kill the opposing fraction
as you observe the 1-15 map
be on the look-out for SCOUTS* and DECOYS……
COMMUNICATION is the key to success
talk to you leader ( or party ) about what you see
~~things to tell your leader~~
# of total enemies
# of Pagans/Mage
# of Oracles/Priest
# of Assassins/Rangers
*remember the assassins/ranger’s name if you are in 20-30 PvP and 1-60 PvP
# of every other class I haven’t mentioned…….
skills if you happen to see them
possible builds they might be……
players who are is isolated ( be careful they could be Decoys )
know the difference between a Guardian/defender from a Fighter/Warrior
where each player is
~~~~ TIP 2 ~~~~
PLAN
taken from Garathorn’s PvP Tactics Guide
http://top1gaming.com/blog/shaiya/263/shaiya-guide-to-team-pvp-combat/
decide on the best form of action that will
1) bring you kills
2) keep all your players alive
3) ensure your success in driving back your enemies
and then APPLY your strategy to what you OBSERVE
~~~~ TIP 3 ~~~~
ADAPT
your leader ( or you ) should be watching the Battle
and act like a mobile RESURECTION point
change PLANS if things don’t go how you planned it to go
PROTECT each other
especially Pagan/Mages, Oracles/Priests and Hunters/Archers
stay alive as much as you can
send a Assassin/Ranger into a group of enemies
or as a decoy then tell him/her to attack and *STEALTH* away……
*remember to STEALTH away
and lastly the most
*strategic way of defending a Party* is to flee
don’t kill of all your members
flee and then attack *just like kiting*
~~~~ TIP 4 ~~~~
ACTION
technically this should be TIP 3 but most people do this right away
it’s self explanatory…..
why did you come into PvP realm???
to KILL
attack their Leader first
or anyone that is annoying
KNOW THE ENIMIES WEAKNESS
Assassin/Rangers
Warriors/Fighters can be easily killed by STRONG MAGIC ATTACKS
Pagans/Mages
Oracles/Priest can also be easily killed by Physical ATTACKS
Hunters/Archers can be killed by both Physical and Magical based attacks
*only if you can reach them first…….their MAXIMUM range is 35m……..
Guardian/Defenders can be killed depending on their build
but mostly die by Magically based attacks
Also do not lapis your EQUIPMENT with EARTH or FIRE
why???
most Pagans/Mages MAX every WIND SPELL…..
some CRAZY Oracle/Priest will get EVERY WATER SPELL……
if you want to Lapis your EQUIPMENT then get the ones according to your BUILD
and Life Lapis and Mental Lapis for higher survivability
Get the BEST equipment you can for your lvl
don’t bring any useful equipment ( high chance of Inventory items dropping )
and the MOST IMOPRTANT RULE/TIP is to OBEY THE RULES GM’s POSTED
run like the wind if you are alone and see a PLAYER on HM/UM
kill Knock Out Nostrum users FAST
HAVE FUN it’s a game don’t get mad or spaz just because your side is losing or has no BLESS
so far this is all I can think of at the moment……
hope you get LOADS of kills
and I wish you all good ” LUCK “……….
you’ll need it
forgot [b]EXTRA TIPS

Rohan Online First Look Preview
Aug 17, 2008 Uncategorized|2,971views
| The website of MMORPG has released a preview of newest free-to-play MMO from YNK Interactive: Rohan Online The Basics Rohan Online: Blood Feud is a fantasy free-to-play MMORPG built atop a persistent world that is filled with hard fought battles and countless quests to embark upon. As with any modern MMORPG, you may choose to go at it alone, or journey together with friends to solidify your place among Rohan’s greatest of warriors. As you shape your identity in Rohan, you may choose to form guilds and as such, fight for the respect you and your warriors deserve. Furthermore, just this month YNK Interactive announced the addition of Township battles, which will extend the fight from PvP to guild versus guild. In addition to the in-game battles and quests, Rohan has an impressive trade center which consists of a web-based item mall and exchange market. So, let’s take a deeper look at Rohan by discussing the various classes that are available to players, the battle system, a few of the things that make Rohan an awesome MMO, and lastly we can briefly discuss the details of the Trading Center. As with any MMORPG, the warriors you command in Rohan get wiser and stronger with every monster killed and quest you complete. These individual achievements give you experience points, which are used to get your character(s) to the next level. Now, let’s talk specifically on how Rohan’s leveling system is distinct from the other MMOs you are currently familiar with. Leveling Up One thing that I noticed right off is how ‘informational’ Rohan is when it comes to how close/far you are from attaining the next levels for your characters. There are several indicators to inform you that your character is reaching the experience points thresholds to get you to the next level. And as you achieve new levels, your character’s health and magic power (mana) are of course raised. In addition to those accolades, you also acquire ability points and skill points. Ability points are dispensable for the generic attributes of your character’s such as strength and dexterity, whereas skill points are used to acquire much more specific powers and abilities. Distributing Skill Points There is certainly a method to the ‘madness’ when distributing your acquired Skill Points in Rohan. You see, every time you level up, you acquire one Skill Point. That Skill Point can be distributed on what I’ve labelled as your “Skills Matrix”, which includes all of the unique skills and abilities that your character could possibly achieve. Now depending now how you distribute those Skill Points as you acquire them will determine how well a specific skill has been mastered. On this ’skills matrix’, certain skills lead to mastering other skills which all contribute to the uniqueness of your character. As I would imagine the possibilities are almost infinite! Before we move on to the trade center discussion, let’s briefly cover a few more distinctive characteristics of Rohan Online:Blood Feud. What makes Rohan so different? Modes of Transportation From beasts, to bindstones, to portal stones, Rohan provides you with numerous ways to move around the continent. And much like sports cars, those mountable beasts certainly separate you from the pedestrianized crowd. Companionship Cute, cuddly, and armed with an arsenal of abilities to aid you in your quest, you can acquire pets in Rohan. This certainly puts a spin on the term “man’s best friend”, especially when they can kick in with some extra HP when you need it. Mini Games Tired of the old hack and slash? Well, Rohan’s got you covered with plenty of mini games to keep you interested. Established Economy Weapons shops, Armories, Style shops and the like are all affordable from Rohan. Want to set up a shop yourself? Put up a Kiosk and become that merchant in town with all the ‘pimped out’ gear. And while we are speaking of touting your wares, this leads me to our discussion on Rohan’s Trading Center, so let’s begin! |

9Dragons European Server Launched
Jun 5, 2008 Uncategorized|841views
 Los Angeles, CA (June 3, 2008). Acclaim Games officially launches the new European server called Bardo Euro for 9Dragons, a FREE TO PLAY martial arts Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) for PC. With the new physical servers in place, Acclaim will offer European players an improved game experience, with better connections, less lag and greater reliability.Â
The staff at Acclaim Games has been working on this for some time in response to the requests of its European players and is finally able to offer this enhancement to the 9Dragons experience. With the official launch of the Bardo server, 9Dragons is now poised to be the #1 martial arts MMO in Europe.Â
“The 9Dragons European server is great news for our European players who can now get the best possible game service quality and lower latency,” said Howard Marks, Acclaim CEO.Â
To commemorate this great occasion, Acclaim will be running several special events between June 3 and June 9, including several days of bonus Exp events, special Monster Spawn events and scheduled PvP battles with the game masters. In addition, magnificent in-game fireworks displays will mark the occasion, lighting up the sky at random times. A 3-day 30% item discount will also kick off the first weekend with huge savings on popular in-game items designed to enhance gameplay, such as elixirs, healing herbs, and premium packages.Â
In 9Dragons, you can rise from a beggar on the streets to a master of Kung Fu as you train with some of the greatest masters of ancient China. Players have the option of joining one of 6 starter clans: Shaolin, Wu-Tang Clan and The League of Beggars are loyal to The Imperial Emperor of China, while The Brotherhood of Thieves, Heavenly Demon, and Sacred Flower Clan (for women only) are opposed to his rule. Players are taught their clan’s unique kung fu style, mastering various techniques as they progress throughout the game, and ultimately fight for the honor and destiny of their chosen clan.Â
