Runescape Combined ess mining & RC guide

I have found a really good way of combining pure essence mining with runecrafting. It is quite an efficient method, because it takes out a lot of the banking. Here is how it works:

You will need:
Access to the fairy rings
Access to the abyss
A dramen staff
A pick axe
A lot of slayer rings
A lot of glory amulets
Runecrafting pouches

Inventory:
A dramen staff (equipped)
A glory amulet (equipped)
A slayer ring (equipped)
A pick axe
All the pouches you can use

How to do it:
1. Rub the slayer ring and select the Relekka teleport option.
2. Run to the nearby fairy ring, and teleport to location “DIS”.
3. Run into the Wizard’s Tower, down the ladder and have Sedridor teleport you to the essence mine.
4. Mine pure essence and fill your pouches.
5. Teleport to Edgeville using the glory amulet.
6. Craft your desired runes through the Abyss.
7. Repeat from 1.
8. Whenever you need a new glory amulet or slayer ring, just get them while you are in Edgeville.

This method has the following benefits:
1. Mining pure essence only requires running in one direction (to the mine), you save the time normally used to run back to a bank.
2. You don’t have to spend time in the bank emptying/filling pouches and opening/closing the bank interface.
3. You preserve run energy. At my agility level(86), my run energy restores to 100% while I am mining the essence. I never need energy potions.
4. Your pouches will last twice as long before they degrade compared to first mining the essence and banking, and then withdrawing from the bank and crafting the runes.

I keep the runes I craft in my inventory (usually deaths and bloods), so together with the pick axe this takes up three inventory spaces. This gives me three less essences per trip, but I think it is worth it. You could of course choose to craft only one kind of runes.

PS: This method does not work with law runes because of the pick axe and the dramen staff.
